We were lucky enough to be finally allowed to build the long overdue site of our photographer friend Charles Gervais. He has been a photographer for years and a self-confessed web designer before that and NEVER had a web site! So recently he decided that yes, he needed a site, and also a blog. So we swiftly designed a framework and blog for him that he really really liked and now you can see it at: www.bothhemispheres.com.
bothhemispheres.com blog site
May 3rd, 2010yummy – a foodie blog
April 28th, 2010A small site has just got bigger: www.joannaparker.co.uk has had a blog added, some more pages, and also twitter and linkedin are all interlinking and updating each other. It’s a challenge to work with all these photographs of mouthwatering food but someone’s gotta do it. We have become something of an expert in adding blogs to web sites recently, hence why we added one to our own site, too (and hid it, as I don’t get to update it that often…)
Adding a shop to jewellers Dancing Apsara
April 20th, 2010One of our favourite projects is Dancing Apsara. Big bold jewellery, lovely customers and great designs, where we could really let our imagination flow and draw dancing ladies, use handwritten scripts on the links and buttons and of course work with the photography of the jewels they sell. Recently they have asked us to turn their brochure web site into an online shop, which we have done while having lots of fun working on it. Here it is, I hope you will like it, too:

we update all your web sites
April 7th, 2010This week, we are busy updating many customers’ web sites. We are adding menus and lovely food photography to our restaurant clients’ sites, we are building a site from the customer’s own design for an architect as well as for a building usage consultant, we are adding lovely sculptures to our garden designer’s site and wines to our wine merchant’s web site.
It never gets boring learning about their businesses while we give their sites a face lift, and it takes the stress out of updating a site for them – they send us an email, presto, it gets scheduled in.
business card design galore
April 1st, 2010It’s been a busy week designing business cards for various customers. One is a technology development firm, another a designer, and yet another is a consultant. We thrive on the fact that we work with so many different businesses, it makes our weeks interesting and fun. We always give our customers lots of options, usually about 9 for a business card design. Here’s an example:

oh to be ignored by a florist
March 25th, 2010Isn’t it lovely to be ignored by a florist?? They bring you flowers if they don’t reply to your email, yoohee!
…it must be the best thing in the world.
Alison from Pollennation couldn’t reply to my email straight away and I got these instead:

Really chuffed with this web site. A lot of input from the customer made this a really really personal web site, tailored around Georgina’s paintings and drawings. Her idea of having the oil paint splashes in the background works wonderfully and we are all very proud – designer, HTMLer and me, the project manager!
Check out her work: www.georginahardyart.com.
earthquake on holidays
March 11th, 2010Phew, what a start to this year… a couple of accidents, then we go on holiday and there is an earthquake where we want to go, so we are unscathed but our return is delayed by two days. And then I come back with a big cold to a huuuuge heap of work that has collected while I have been away, of course! So I’m cracking on with it….
Loved and Found installed
February 5th, 2010Now we have researched, designed – today we have finished the installation of the bare shop system on our customer’s Loved and Found web site. That means that the naked, very ugly, system is there. We can now start changing the look and feel to the design the customer has chosen and soon the site will be ready for testing and inspecting by our dear customer Geordie.
