After reading about St Marys Primary School in the Evening Standard, we decided to collect lots of presents for the kids. We’re very pleased to have won a pitch to redesign and rebuild the website for Druces, a prestigious City of London law firm with a 200 year pedigree.

A lot of work went into preparing our presentation and Moustique were chosen over three other agencies in the final round of bidding.

We are working on the project with our friends at Calverts. They are a graphic design and printing firm near us who have been appointed to come up with a new corporate identity and logo, as well as providing an entirely new printed stationery suite. Between us, we hope to bring Druces’ centuries of legal expertise well into the 21^st century and provide a great showcase for their work.

The fun app is a game where you have to pick a celebrity and guess which beauty products they use to achieve their look – why not give it a go?

We were lucky to be asked to do this job, and with the design specs changing many times during the development phase we learned a lot. But we’re thrilled with the result and are now ready to develop more Facebook apps – and hopefully some smart phone apps too.

Excuse the blurry mess, thank god I am not a photographer, huh. But this is of course only a crafty trick to hide the Peppa Pig Christmas Crackers on my not particularly tidy desk in the background…

Well, in the office, we’ve started to pop the Xmas crackers and prepare to wind 2010 down.

This lovely new person who will be able to help you with your ecommerce websites, CMS websites and blog systems is called Alberto. Welcome Alberto!

It was lots of fun, although I am a natural at being hopeless, but look at Ronny:

What a natural. so where the others in our group, here’s another picture. It was a wonderful way to break the ice, as going into a room full of strangers is always daunting but everybody was giggling and dropping balls and chucking them at each other instead of at their own hand (at least most of us did, unintentionally so) and you felt an instant connection with everyone. Someone even tried to coach me and I think I moved up from totally hopeless to mediocrely hopeless.

All in all, it was well worth spending the money and more over the time of 2 hours + to mingle with other businesses in Hoxton and Shoreditch – we met loads of interesting ones, ranging from a photographer who shot HRH the Duke of Kent (not literally) to IT firms, branding consultants and a not-boring logistics business.
