Ohh, I haven’t mentioned yet – we have finished the lovely shop www.lovedandfound.co.uk – but not put live yet, as the owner has fallen pregnant and isn’t feeling up to it for the moment, understandably! But watch this space, morning sickness isn’t going to go on forever and then she will be back with a vengeance and put this great web site and her goodies out to the world.

Our second vintage clothes shop in a short time, we are working on the logo, icon lady, corporate design and online shop web site for Hetty Spaghetty. It has been a pleasure to work on this project, and it is nearly finished and soon ready to go live….. wait for www.hettyspaghetty.co.uk.

Adding a shop to jewellers Dancing Apsara

One of our favourite projects is Dancing Apsara. Big bold jewellery, lovely customers and great designs, where we could really let our imagination flow and draw dancing ladies, use handwritten scripts on the links and buttons and of course work with the photography of the jewels they sell. Recently they have asked us to turn their brochure web site into an online shop, which we have done while having lots of fun working on it. Here it is, I hope you will like it, too:

we update all your web sites

This week, we are busy updating many customers’ web sites. We are adding menus and lovely food photography to our restaurant clients’ sites, we are building a site from the customer’s own design for an architect as well as for a building usage consultant, we are adding lovely sculptures to our garden designer’s site and wines to our wine merchant’s web site.

It never gets boring learning about their businesses while we give their sites a face lift, and it takes the stress out of updating a site for them – they send us an email, presto, it gets scheduled in.

Loved and Found installed

Now we have researched, designed – today we have finished the installation of the bare shop system on our customer’s Loved and Found web site. That means that the naked, very ugly, system is there. We can now start changing the look and feel to the design the customer has chosen and soon the site will be ready for testing and inspecting by our dear customer Geordie.

online shop site taking shape

The shop web site we researched for last week is taking shape. We have sent our usual three design suggestions to the customer and she already liked one of them very much, so the design phase for this particular project will be very short and speedy. Usually it takes a few rounds of going back and forth, perfecting a design, adding elements in or taking them out.

This shop is called Loved and Found. It will be selling vintage clothes and accessories as well as offering window dressing services. Fab stuff – watch this space, I will show you the site soon!

a small new contract

We have just been commissioned to build a small ecommerce add-on to a very upmarket bag manufacturer’s site. It’s a Flash site, so it cannot be seamless, as we don’t work with Flash and specialise in making our web sites as accessible and user-friendly as possible. It will be interesting!

Hi there,

what else comes to mind than “welcome to my new blog” – what a terrible thing that one sees on hundreds of web sites. You also see it on the home pages of most of our customers and ourselves! How do you get away from welcoming people to your site? Grumpy me again…

Anyway… 2009 was not a year to remember, and it is nearly over. Yippieh, I am quite glad. We survived bruised and muddy in the face, and we used the time to concentrate even more on fine tuning our ecommerce offering. We built a few very nice ecommerce sites, the most recent one is www.kinderpods.com, hope you like it. Of course you can see it in our portfolio as well, but then, who looks at it in detail, honestly? I know few people do, so now you must read about it.
