Unfortunately I had a very sad week this week and have taken quite a chunk of time off. What my colleagues are getting on with while I am away is renewing our customers’ hosting plans if the year has run out, updating web sites, creating leaflets and writing PHP code.

Ohh, I haven’t mentioned yet – we have finished the lovely shop – but not put live yet, as the owner has fallen pregnant and isn’t feeling up to it for the moment, understandably! But watch this space, morning sickness isn’t going to go on forever and then she will be back with a vengeance and put this great web site and her goodies out to the world.

a newsletter system

Something we aren’t being asked for very often but something we can do for our customers – a newsletter system installed and set up on your own web space, so that you do not need to rely on the likes of constant contact if you do not wish to. There are various relatively flexible systems out there and we are happy to recommend some of them. As usual, we work with open source software to get our customers the best deals and avoid any muddle around licensing, as there are no license fees for open source.

We were lucky enough to be finally allowed to build the long overdue site of our photographer friend Charles Gervais. He has been a photographer for years and a self-confessed web designer before that and NEVER had a web site! So recently he decided that yes, he needed a site, and also a blog.
